Management audits are usually performed as part of, or before, an organisational change. You may be the leader of an integration process where one or more management teams are to becom one, or you may simply want to choose an internal candidate for a new management position.
In these cases a management audit process becomes an excellent tool to assure that the new management structure is the one you need to achive the organisations goals.
A management audit process usually starts with a series of interviews where one or more consultants gather information about the current situation. This process may be followed with several deeper interviews or by one or more workshops where the participants work on future scenarios for the organisation.
The assigment is closed by a management analysis where the conultants give you a current situation analysis and a recomendation on your future possibilities and choices.
A management audit may also be performed just to give a second opinion about a single persons capabilities, i. e. before a potential promotion.
